Great news everyone! I'm going back to school!
The Facts: More details to come... But I'll be beginning the start of my Bachelors in Nursing in May 2013 at Brookline College in Phoenix, AZ. Brookline College is a private school so with that comes cha ching tuition but it'll be worth it. If I maintain a 2.5 GPA and 90% attendance... They'll pay for my Masters Degree. With the love and support of my family... anything is possible.
After a much needed kick in the right direction from my best friends and close family, I've come to realize if I want a life and family without financial stress... I need to get my stuff together and finish school. Visiting Ashley, I saw the strength and hard work put in by her and her husband in school to make a better living and it was something to be admired. I, along with the boy, am sacrificing a lot and beginning to make accommodations.
The Plan: We're giving up our beloved rented home in peaceful San Tan Valley to relocate to Mesa or Tempe so I'll be closer for my commute to school and close to libraries to study in. Ill be going part-time and working weekends at Banner and squeezing in St. Lukes when possible. Since I'll be going to school Monday through Friday... It leaves me no choice. Again... Sacrifice. I'll be relying on the boy to bring home bacon and keep us a float during this time. We've put our heads together and considered options to make the transition easier. Such as roommates etc.
I am blessed to have such a considerate man. I believe I can count on him and that's a great feeling.
I am nervous but very exciting to begin this journey and begin this new chapter in my life.
No one said it would be easy... But some things are worth fighting for- happiness.
